Annual Fund
The Good Samaritan Foundation Annual Fund directly awards financial assistance to more than 500 nursing students yearly. The fund also enables the Foundation to provide underwriting for instructors at chosen nursing schools, partner with programs that encourage middle school students to look at nursing as a career, and work with hospitals to provide one-on-one mentoring programs. The Foundation’s goal is to reduce the critical nursing shortage in Texas and to support programs that help retain nurses in the medical community.
Through the Annual Fund, alumni and friends of Good Samaritan Foundation are asked to make regular, yearly gifts at whatever level is suitable for each individual donor. Tax-deductible donations are unrestricted and go to areas of greatest need for the foundation, which include operations, special programs and nursing scholarships.
