Good Samaritan Foundation of Texas, Inc. was organized in 1951 and is a Texas non-profit corporation.  It received its original designation from the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt public charity under Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(3) on June 2, 1952.  The most recent Determination Letter from the IRS (May 16, 2008 - available below) also indicates the Foundation is not a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) of the Code because it is described under section 509(a)(2).
